So, not very long after I liveblogged my last post from the Totally Normal Event, we left. Voltaire hadn’t even finished playing yet. Boo.
For some weird reason, everyone was sitting down on the dancefloor for the concert. We opted to stand, as people usually do at such things, and possibly dance, as people often do at such things, and we got yelled at to go to the back and stop blocking everyone’s view. So we did. But the whole thing was annoying and made it very hard to enjoy the show, so shortly thereafter we left.
It’s a shame, because it really killed the night. The rest of the event was great fun, as these things usually are, and we got great swag, as I usually do, but annoying mall goth kids who are probably too young to get into a bar to see a real concert are starting to bug the shit out of me. Seriously.
I blame young humans who should probably have earlier bedtimes.

Eh, feckin’ kids. We’ve all been there though (at my younger and stupider age though, I was at punk/metal shows where I was encouraged to be spunky and kick people’s asses for the sake of having a good time. I got free swag once for flooring somebody after hitting my shin against the stage). While yes, stupid kids are an annoying pain in the ass, most if not all of us were too. A little empathy won’t hurt. Also, HOW CAN ONE NOT LIKE BURLESQUE!? Mein gott! Personally, that’s the only tease that I can take without being frustrated and needing to get… well yeah *STFU DERRICK*
You think YOU hate people? Aside from necessary locations as well as goth night, I don’t go ANYWHERE or talk to ANYONE. And when people try to make conversation with me, I just “Yeah, cool, touche, word, indubitably” throughout their monologue. Guess how long my call records per month are in pages: Less than one full page. Texts on the other hand….
I’m asking in advance if I may join you and anyone else on the next journey to any big(ish) goth events, be it a renaissance festival, TNE, etc. Proper compensation would be made ASAP. Oh, and Half-Blood Prince is 11/21!
