I just watched Appleseed for the first time. If you aren’t familiar with the story, it’s a charming tale about love and tolerance, bereft with cheesy Matrix-style effects and bland FF:The Spirits Within-esque facial expressions. I really did quite like the story, but I also kinda wanted the silly humans to go extinct in the end (via the most humane way possible, of course).
