Which Peanuts Character are You?

Rerun
You are Rerun!

Which Peanuts Character are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Heh, Rerun is so overlooked, I don’t even know who he is! I find this amusing, though I don’t know how much this applies to me- I don’t think that I’m particularly overlooked. And ‘concealing cleverness’ may be one way to put it… :)

What horrible Edward Gorey Death will you die?
Posted 2004.02.21 11:16

I’m a moderate Edward Gorey fan. I own at least one of his “children’s” books, as well as the large poster featuring all of these alphabetical deaths on it (currently that’s still in NJ, however). I also am aware of the fact that Edward Gorey has never been English or dead :)

Anyway, this quiz, like most others of its ilk, is very silly. Its sole reason for being entertaining is that it is Gorey. Since there’s that, here are my reults:

Don't Trip
You will be smothered under a rug. You’re a little anti-social, and may want to start gaining new social skills by making prank phone calls.

Was it prophecy?
Posted 2004.02.20 15:40

Beth just showed me this on Growlaw:

SCO: Dead End

It made me chuckle, so I decided I’d share it in case anyone else hasn’t seen it. If you don’t get it- trust me, it’s funny :)

Friday Five
Posted 14:38

Here’s this weeks

When was the last time you…

1. …went to the doctor?
I went to the health center a few times (the plague, and !pnuemonia) in college, but the last time I went to a real doctor was during my senior year of highschool.

2. …went to the dentist?
August, 2002. I think my dentist was conspiracing to give me cavities so that he could get more money. That, a need to get wisdom teeth removed, and a lack of dental insurance have kept me from going back.

3. …filled your gas tank?
Last Friday.

4. …got enough sleep?
Depends on what you mean by “enough”…. I get about 7-8 hours each night, but my body always wants more. :)

5. …backed up your computer?
My computer backs itself up via a cron job every night to a second hard drive. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but it’s as good as I’m probably going to get :)

Linux is Love.
Posted 2004.02.18 07:53

I’ve been seeing those “Marriage is Love” things all over recently, and though I think that’s well and good, I found this, which I find both humorous and true:

Alternative Lifestyle. Alternative OS.
Linux Distro Logos
Linux is love.

The only problem is the logo lacks Slack. It lacks many other things though, and you can’t pleaSe everyone all the time :)

Friday Five
Posted 2004.02.13 13:20

!(live from Katsucon), here’s this week’s Five:

1. Are you superstitious?
Not particularly, though I suppose there are the random irrational beliefs I am sometimes prone to. For instance, thinking something is ‘lucky’ or ‘unlucky’, or that the strange image in a photograph is the result of a ghost. I’ve also been known to dabble in Tarot and play with a Magic 8 Ball.

2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?
Well, there were the Crusades, and the Spanish Inquisition, not to mention the frequent witch hunts that occurred in early America. ;)

3. Believer or not, what’s your favorite superstition?
Probably astrology- just because you’d have to be a lunatic to think that the stars have a meaning specific to the lives of individual humans countless light years away. It’s also widely believed, and therefore more fun to laugh at.

4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual?
I try not to, but sometimes I slip. I don’t so much have lucky things, as unlicky things (which I have been known to throw or give away because of their unluckiness).

5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?
See number 3, above.

No Katsucon for me. But At least I have a job, so I am still happy.

I also have a phone, at the expense of the wireless network I don’t need (not until I get my laptop, anyway).

Snails apparently go to sleep and become buoyant. They look dead, until they sink a few hours later and start snailing about the tank again.

I’m rambling, so I’ll stop now.
