Phew.

Well, my dad is alright. It turns out that the blood was the dog’s (he’s alright too, he only cut his foot) and my dad was just out of the house for a while. Phew. -.-;;;

On an entirely unrelated note, I had a dream that I received a check for ~$8 for 30 hours of work. Such is my life. :-/

St. Patricks Day

Geez. I missed it entirely. I also missed much of the beautiful day, but that is another story >:(

I only realized what day it was when Peter told me, then I conveniently forgot again until just now…. when it’s a new day entirely.

Forgive me, (even though) I’m Irish.

Trigun Manga

Trigun isn’t over!

Apparently, the story is still continuing…. and by reading the translations and summaries available from the above site, I’ve found out it’s entirely different from the anime…. new twists, new characters (and some old characters meeting entirely different fates).

Now, all I need to do is learn to read Japanese fluently…. or hope they eventually translate the manga to English.

Spring!

It suddenly became spring around here, heh. It’s so nice out, I want to go outside, and if I could manage to put shoes on I just might. Instead, I stay inside and clean/play on the Internet.

Oh well, the windows are open and assuming the plague doesn’t kill us all, there will be more nice days ^_^

Job situation:

Check it out.

No one can get jobs. As I told Peter, expectations are unreasonable. Apparently, in addition to needing to be proficient in copious amounts of skills, you are also expected to work for free.

Geez, when someone who has written two books on programming Java can’t get a programming job, I have a snowball’s chance in hell of ever getting one.

Well, this is making my current situation look very typical… and it seems that the measly amount I have gotten paid in the past six months is better than nothing. I think I better go apply to a bookstore somewhere to supplement my efforts to remove myself from debt, because I’m certainly never going to be able to survive on a tech job at this rate :-/
