ARRRRGHHHHH

You know, I FINALLY leave early enough to get to work on time and WHAT happens? My fucking car battery dies. Goddammit. The escort has failed me! >:(

For a while there’s been corrosion on the outside of the battery, but my dads been like “You probably don’t need to worry about it yet” Well, I guess the current 9 degree temperature killed the damn thing. There’s not even anyone else here to give me a jump OR a ride to work >:|

Well, I told my boss what’s up, so now I just wait and see what happens, I suppose.

Cold!

The HI today is 13 degrees. 13 degrees Fahrenheit. Amazing. Lucky for me I prefer the cold, eh? (I’m practicing to move to Canada- they have free health care)

I leave you now so that I may prepare for work….. with a taste of EarthBound.

Money, that’s what I want.
Money, that’s what is hot.
Money, that’s what I want.
Money, it’s what I ain’t got,
‘cept freedom, freedom, freedom is what I’ve really sought!

FFAA associations

I am now officially an affiliate of FFAA, presumably because my site fits in (well, coding IS art, and I can draw…. kinda….) but quite possibly because I host the #FFAF quotes and stats here. I even have my own section in the FFAF forums now, ‘Dreams in Tekniklr‘. Check it out if you are bored, but I don’t expect there to be much going on there, heh.

As for other news, on Friday I hung out with Bobby, Peter, Mike, and Peter’s friend, Kev (from Opie and Anthony). We had fun, though I am utterly abysmal at pool (the geometry’s ok, it’s the aim which is off -.-;;) and I brought up the subject of Katsucon. It turns out that Peter and Mike are also interested in attending! So, I did some Travelocity research and discovered that a room for four costs the exact same as a room for two. So, minus a $20 penalty for canceling/changing my old reservation, I should end up actually saving money in this deal. That’s assuming of course that I actually get my original $180 for the first room back without any great amount of hassle….. We’ll see.

So, this means it is likely I am bringing my own posse to Katsucon! My party of four nearly outnumbers the five confirmed FFAA people who shall be attending. Peter seems to want us to do some sort of theme cosplaying…. THING. He asked me who I would go as “besides Magus,” >:-P so of course I said “Lucca!” Heh, but chances are no one else will be interested in cosplaying as CT characters, and my anime knowledge is not extensive….. though Izumi from Nadesico is cool… hrmmmm……

I’ll be damned…..

I'm going to Hell because I write slash fanfiction!
Why Will You Go To Hell?

brought to you by Quizilla
You write awful slash fanfiction and bring shame upon your family. (Or you read it and have thought about writing your own, and that’s bad enough.)

The shadow of your evil will remain on this earth for as long as the Web lasts.

You should be hanged in front of angry villagers on Christmas Day, you sick fiend!

Well honestly I’ve NEVER thought about writing slash, though I have thought about writing NORMAL fanfiction, heh. The problem with that is that I cannot write worth a damn.

And let it be known that I Do. Not. Like. Yaoi. ESPECIALLY Magus/Frog Honestly, I can’t see the attraction. I can’t see the attraction in lots of things, though (*cough*fur*cough*) but I’m not one to throw stones, heh.

As for more mundane matters…. I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning to go to work tomorrow. Again. *sigh* It’s going to be snowing. *sigh again*

Happy New Day

I woke up late today- 10 PM (not counting the brief anti-nap I had for dinnertime). Anyway, it seems that 7-11 is amazingly popular at midnight. There were like, 6 other people there. The clerk didn’t even seem to acknowledge the passing of the New Year, but Bobby and I DID get wished Happy New Year by a stock boy. And we got coffee and munchies ^_^

So, yeah. Overall it was definitely better than the typical New Year’s party.

After our little excursion Bobby and I drove around randomly until we got bored and came back to my place. Then we debated going to Loree’s house for the end of her par-tay, but it would be 1:30 at least by the time we got there and Loree was planning on kicking everyone out at 2 (she has to get up early and drive back to Ithaca). So instead Bobby and I opted for (duh-duh-duhduh!) DDR. It’s refreshing to see that Bobby is just as bad at the normal mode as I am! We ended up taking turns in workout mode for several hours, until our bodies were threatening to rebel against our tyrannical rule.

Then I promptly decided that all that work made me hungry, so we went to 7-11 AGAIN (4 AM this time) and I bought myself ‘dinner’. Technically I had my real breakfast/dinner at 7:00 PM today, so I suppose I was due for some actual food-like (protein>sugar) substance.

Anyway, now I’m not tired, though that is sure to change sometime around 1-2 PM (it always does). I have to go to Englewood Cliffs for work on Thursday morning (-.-;;) so I have to start planning when I am going to sleep between now and then. Currently I am thinking my best bet lies in staying up until at least 10 PM tonight and waking up at 6 AM to get ready for the hellish rush-hour traffic I will encounter on my commute. Hopefully the snow/ice/rain/sleet we are supposed to get Wednesday night thru Thursday does not get me into an accident or killed. If it does I think I will come back and haunt whoever needed a website at just that moment, thereby causing my death. I hate bad weather driving, and so does my car (happy-go-skiddy).
